Campaign for the Future
The municipality of Zeist wants to make its residents aware of the importance of biodiversity. What does the municipality itself do? Why is biodiversity important? And how can residents and entrepreneurs contribute? We developed an inspiring public campaign that appeals to young and old.

Making biodiversity visible
Zeist wants to inspire its residents to work together for a green future. Many residents are not aware of the measures that the municipality is taking to increase biodiversity and why this is important. In addition, the goal is to encourage people to take action themselves — from installing an insect hotel to cutting back on mowing in the garden.
The question? Develop a recognisable and accessible public campaign that appeals to parents and young children. A fresh style that matches Zeist's corporate identity and at the same time is modern enough to also involve younger generations.

A colorful, illustrative campaign
To reach a broad target group, we opted for a cheerful, illustrative style that literally and figuratively brings biodiversity to life. The campaign started with a unique project logo and an eye-catching key visual:
- The logo combines organic shapes and playful animals to emphasize the connection with nature and sustainability.
- The key visual is bursting with vibrant details, such as an insect hotel, plants and Slot Zeist — a nod to the municipality.
With this basis, we brought the story of biodiversity to life in many ways:
- In the city: Grass signs, posters at recycling stations, magnetic stickers on campaign vans, and flower paper postcards.
- For home: Flower seed bags, children's coloring pages and inviting door-to-door leaflets.
- Online: Social media posts, a web header, and a colorful full-page ad.
With all means, we ensured maximum accessibility. From bright colors and contrasts to clear legibility, every detail received attention.

The result
The illustrative style and powerful messages made biodiversity visible, understandable and inspiring. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive: residents felt addressed and actually got to work.
And the municipality? He was so enthusiastic that they immediately asked us to design their Biodiversity Plan. A campaign to be proud of — and a high bar for the future!
These effect makers provided just that little bit extra!
