The Circles

Be yourself, meet others

The Circles is a national initiative to bring LGBTI people into contact with each other in an accessible way. It's the place to really be yourself and meet up regularly with other members. There are dozens of circles spread across the Netherlands, each with its own profile.

The question

Putting big on the map

After we have the new visual identity, pay-off and website had developed by De Kringen, it was time to boost brand awareness. Too many people are unaware of the existence of this valuable initiative. So we were asked to develop an awareness campaign.

Pure and sincere

Be yourself, meet others. We put this proposition on the table during the rebranding and was immediately embraced. This was therefore the starting point for the development of the campaign. No exciting layers, no frills. An honest campaign, pure and sincere. That's what we chose, and luckily we got our hands on it with the client.

Content creation

With and with members

The key visuals were created with and by our own members (at home). That created a special and beautiful atmosphere. And the purest and most sincere image. We took a beautiful series of photos and videos at eight different locations. And what the text promises, the image says: that you can really be yourself and meet like-minded people at De Kringen. To get through a (k) ring, right?

National campaign

Extra challenge

A national campaign with a lot of focus on social media. A combination of display advertising, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube to reach the broad target group. On socials, it is not allowed to address people based on race, gender or orientation. We are planning two flights: awareness first, then conversion. With the right combination of image, color and copy, we still know how to appeal to the target group without making it specific.

So nice that effect group* has included us in every step of the process. We are very happy with the result.

Lots of new encounters

We promise results, so we deliver results! We achieved nearly 5,000,000 impressions, more than 625,000 views and more than 50,000 clicks to the website. And most importantly... more than 350 people have signed up as new circle members. We are proud and the client is more than satisfied!
